It was the only building on the block, which seemed a little strange. Natasha was in a part of town unfamiliar to her, but city blocks are usually cramped. This particular block was eerie. Nothing and no one was stirring.
Natasha was desperate though. She’s been out of work for months now, and her funds were running low. Plus, she was just plain bored. She needed somewhere to get up and go to every morning. Mostly she needed purpose again. As much as she needed a job, Natasha thought this might not be worth it. Her gut was telling her to get back in her car and blow off this interview.
Yet her interest was piqued. She took a deep breath and grabbed the doorknob.
